OPTOMAN (OPTOMENAS, UAB) starts a new research and development project Intensity (Nr. J05-LVPA-K-02-0025) with an objective to create a complex multilayer dielectric coating manufacturing process, where an advanced Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) technology is employed. 

Within the frame of Intensity project R&D and validation activities are scheduled, where coating process will be demonstrated in laboratory conditions. Extended experimental development activities will be dedicated for a demonstration and validation of created prototypes in demanding laser application under real-life conditions. 

The goal is a creation of an innovative technology for the series production of ultra-low loss laser optical components and introduce four innovative product groups into the market. Process created will allow to manufacture cost effective laser optical components complying or exceeding quality and performance benchmarks existing in the photonics market, what increases company’s innovative potential and competitiveness.
